The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20052A is a brass push-to-connect male adapter designed to transition between a 3/16-inch push-to-connect port and a 1/8-inch male NPT threaded connection. The push-to-connect end accepts tubing with a simple insertion, eliminating the need for ferrules or compression sleeves. The male NPT end threads directly into a female-threaded port on a valve, manifold, or instrument body. Built from brass, this adapter handles operating temperatures from -10 to 200 degrees F and carries a 1/8-27 thread specification. The compact body measures 0.93 inches in length with a 0.43-inch hex for wrench engagement. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation installers use this fitting in low-pressure pneumatic and fluid-line applications.
The 20052A is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a small-diameter tubing line must connect to a 1/8-inch NPT-ported component. Typical applications include compressed air distribution, pneumatic control tubing, fuel gas pilot lines, and water treatment equipment. The push-to-connect end allows fast field assembly, making it useful in tight spaces where rotating a compression fitting onto tubing would be difficult. The 1/8-inch male NPT thread is one of the most common thread sizes found on pressure gauges, solenoid valves, and control devices, giving this adapter broad utility across HVAC, plumbing, and industrial service work.
Designed as an OEM-style brass push-to-connect male adapter for use with 3/16-inch OD tubing and components fitted with 1/8-inch female NPT ports across pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, and fluid-handling systems.
Depressurize and isolate the line before installing or removing any push-to-connect fitting. Thread the male NPT end into the receiving port by hand first, then snug with a wrench on the hex flats - apply thread sealant tape or compound to the NPT threads in accordance with applicable plumbing or mechanical codes. Insert tubing straight into the push-to-connect end until it seats fully; a slight tug confirms the collet has engaged. To release the tubing, depress the collet ring evenly before pulling the tube free.
