The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 18154L is a light pattern brass adapter fitting that connects a 3/8-inch compression end to a 3/8-inch female NPT (FNPTF) threaded port. The compression side accepts copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing, making it a versatile choice for plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration line work where a compression-to-pipe-thread transition is required. Rated to 200 psi and a temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees F, this fitting handles demanding service conditions. The 3/4-inch hex provides a solid wrench grip during installation. Thread specification is 9/16-24 on the compression side and 3/8-18 NPT on the female threaded end.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and mechanical systems where copper, aluminum, or thermoplastic tubing must terminate at a female NPT port. Common applications include water supply lines, refrigerant accessory circuits, pneumatic lines, and gas appliance connections where compression fittings are code-acceptable. The 1.03-inch center-to-end dimension keeps the installed profile compact in tight spaces, and the brass construction resists corrosion in both wet and dry service environments.
Designed for use with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing on 3/8-inch compression systems terminating at a 3/8-inch female NPT port. Thread specification is 9/16-24 compression x 3/8-18 FNPTF.
This fitting is typically installed by licensed plumbers or HVAC-R technicians. Shut off the water supply or system pressure and relieve all line pressure before disassembly or installation. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then snug with a wrench - do not overtighten, as excessive force can distort the compression sleeve and cause leaks. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the FNPTF connection per local plumbing code requirements.
