The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 18119 is a forged brass reducing tee designed for compression-style tubing connections. It features two 5/8-inch compression ports and one 1/2-inch compression port, making it a compact three-way junction for branching or reducing a fluid line. Rated to 150 psi and suitable for temperatures ranging from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting handles demanding service conditions. The forged brass construction provides reliable strength and corrosion resistance. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting in copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing systems where a secure, leak-resistant mechanical connection is required without soldering.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC applications where a branch connection or line reduction is needed in a compression tubing run. The three-port compression design allows installation on copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing without the need for heat or flux. Its compact body size of 0.69 inches makes it well suited for installations in tight spaces, such as under-cabinet supply lines, equipment connection points, or panel-mounted tubing assemblies.
Designed for use with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing in compression fitting applications. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation reducing tee in plumbing and HVAC tubing systems.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians familiar with compression-style connections. Before installation, shut off the water or refrigerant supply and depressurize the line completely. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and deburred before inserting into the compression nuts. Do not overtighten the compression nuts; hand-tighten first, then snug with a wrench to the fitting manufacturer's standard practice for compression fittings.
