The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 150322 is a 45-degree swivel adapter elbow designed to connect hydraulic or pneumatic lines where a fixed fitting angle is impractical. One end threads in as a 1/8-inch male NPTF connection; the other end accepts a 1/8-inch female NPSM swivel, allowing the downstream line to rotate freely after installation. The NPTF thread form creates a pressure-tight mechanical seal without relying solely on thread sealant. Constructed from steel, this fitting is suited for moderate-pressure hydraulic circuits and compressed-air plumbing. The swivel feature reduces line stress caused by vibration or repositioning during service. It is installed by plumbers, hydraulic system technicians, and fluid-power specialists.
This fitting is used in hydraulic power units, compressed-air distribution lines, and fluid-transfer systems where a 45-degree change of direction is needed at a small-bore connection point. The compact body dimensions make it well suited for tight panel or manifold layouts where straight fittings or fixed elbows would create routing conflicts. It is equally at home in industrial equipment maintenance and in trade applications requiring a reliable steel swivel elbow at the 1/8-inch pipe size.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/8-inch NPTF male port connections requiring a 45-degree swivel elbow in hydraulic or compressed-air systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber, hydraulic technician, or fluid-power specialist. Depressurize and isolate the hydraulic or pneumatic circuit completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPTF threads in accordance with the system manufacturer guidelines and applicable local codes. Hand-tighten first, then wrench-tighten only to the point of a leak-free seal - do not over-torque small-bore steel fittings.
