The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 129A-391FC2 is a brass bulkhead connector designed to pass a fluid or gas line through a panel, tank wall, or enclosure. It features a 1/4-inch female pipe thread (FPT) on one end and a 1/2-inch male pipe thread (MPT) on the other, allowing a transition between two different thread sizes at the point of penetration. The fitting uses a 3/4-16 UNS thread for the bulkhead locknut interface and measures 2.16 inches in length. Constructed from brass, it offers corrosion resistance suitable for water, air, and many compatible fluid systems. Plumbers and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting where lines must pass cleanly through a wall or tank surface.
This bulkhead connector is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC auxiliary drain or condensate applications, and fluid-system panel installations where a secure, leak-resistant wall penetration is required. The dual-size thread configuration makes it useful when the supply-side and outlet-side piping are different nominal sizes. The all-brass construction supports installations in moderate-temperature, moderate-pressure service conditions typical of these trade applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation bulkhead connector for systems requiring a 1/4-inch FPT to 1/2-inch MPT panel penetration fitting with a 3/4-16 UNS locknut thread interface.
A licensed plumber or qualified mechanical contractor should install this fitting in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the fluid or gas supply and relieve system pressure fully before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus the manufacturer-recommended turns without over-torquing the brass threads. Inspect the installation for leaks before returning the system to service.
