The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 12129 is a brass female branch tee fitting designed for hydraulic and fluid-transfer line applications. It connects two 5/16-inch female inverted flare ports to one 1/8-inch female National Pipe Thread Fine (FNPTF) port, allowing a single hydraulic line to branch in a tee configuration. Rated to 1200 psi and suitable for temperatures from -65 to 250 degrees F, this fitting handles demanding operating conditions in mobile and stationary hydraulic systems. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and provides reliable sealing at inverted flare connections. Typical installers include hydraulic technicians, mobile equipment mechanics, and plumbing professionals working with small-bore tubing assemblies.
This branch tee is intended for use with aluminum, brass, copper, and steel hydraulic tubing. It is well suited for residential and commercial hydraulic control circuits, brake lines, fuel lines, and other small-bore fluid systems where a single line must split into two or where an NPT port is needed for a gauge, sensor, or secondary connection. The 1/2-20 inverted flare thread on the two female flare ports mates with standard SAE 45-degree inverted flare fittings and tubing, while the 1/8-27 FNPTF port accepts standard pipe-thread accessories.
Designed for use with aluminum, brass, copper, and steel hydraulic tubing requiring 5/16-inch female inverted flare connections and a 1/8-inch FNPTF branch port in hydraulic and fluid-transfer line assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or mechanic familiar with inverted flare and NPT fittings. Depressurize and isolate the hydraulic circuit completely before removing or installing any fitting. Use appropriate flare-nut wrenches to avoid rounding the fitting body; do not over-tighten, as brass fittings are susceptible to thread damage. Apply a thread sealant rated for hydraulic service to the FNPTF port threads only - never apply sealant to the inverted flare seats.
