The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 108095 is a reducing companion flange designed to connect two threaded pipe ends of different sizes within iron piping systems. The larger port accepts a 6-inch threaded connection and the smaller port accepts a 3-inch threaded connection, with thread specifications of 6-8 and 3-8 respectively. Constructed from ductile iron with a black finish, this flange measures 11 inches OD by 1.56 inches in height and features a 1-inch thick flange face. It carries a 125 lb pressure class rating and is rated to 150 psi. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters working on industrial or commercial iron piping systems.
This reducing companion flange is suited for commercial and industrial piping applications where a transition between a 6-inch and 3-inch threaded iron pipe is required. Its 8-bolt hole pattern, with bolt holes measuring 7/8 inch in diameter and a hole center-to-center distance of 9-1/2 inches, allows for secure, leak-resistant mating to a corresponding flange face. It conforms to ASME B16.42/AWWA C110 and ASME B1.20.1 dimension standards, making it appropriate for waterworks and general fluid service installations.
Designed as an OEM-style reducing companion flange for commercial and industrial iron piping systems requiring a threaded 6-inch to 3-inch transition at a 125 lb pressure class rating per ASME B16.42/AWWA C110 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME standards. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before removing any existing flanges or fittings. Use properly rated gaskets and fasteners that match the 125 lb pressure class, and torque bolts evenly in a cross pattern to achieve a uniform seal. Verify thread engagement and flange alignment before returning the system to service.
