The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 108032 is a reducing companion flange designed to transition between a 3-inch threaded connection and a 2-inch threaded connection in piping systems. Constructed from ductile iron with a galvanized finish, this flange is rated for 125 lb pressure class service at 150 psi working pressure. It features a 4-bolt hole pattern and conforms to ASME B16.42/AWWA C110 and ASME B1.20.1 dimensional standards. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this component when joining dissimilar pipe sizes in water distribution, industrial, or municipal piping assemblies.
This reducing companion flange is suited for residential and commercial plumbing applications where a flanged pipe connection must reduce from a 3-inch to a 2-inch threaded line. Its galvanized ductile iron construction makes it appropriate for water service, irrigation, and general industrial piping where corrosion resistance and mechanical strength are required. The 4-bolt configuration and 3/4-inch bolt hole diameter follow standard flange drilling patterns for straightforward mate-up with ASME-rated flanged components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation companion flange for 125 lb class ductile iron flanged piping systems conforming to ASME B16.42/AWWA C110 and ASME B1.20.1 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and AWWA guidelines. Depressurize and isolate the piping system completely before disassembling any flanged connections. Use an appropriate gasket rated for the service pressure and fluid type between mating flange faces, and torque all bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the fastener specification required by the applicable code. Inspect threads on both pipe ends before engagement to ensure clean, undamaged threads.
