The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 107074 is a 12-inch threaded raised face flange rated at 150 lb pressure class. Forged from steel to ANSI B16.5 dimensional standards, it provides a reliable pipe connection in high-demand industrial and commercial piping systems. The raised face measures 1/16 inch and creates a tight sealing surface when mated with a gasket and companion flange. Twelve bolt holes, each 7/8 inch in diameter, distribute clamping load evenly around the flange face. At 61.02 pounds, this is a heavy-duty component typically handled by licensed pipefitters or mechanical contractors working on larger-diameter process or utility piping.
This flange is suited for industrial piping installations where a threaded end connection is required at 12-inch nominal pipe size. Typical applications include water, steam, and general-service piping systems in commercial buildings, industrial plants, and utility facilities operating within the 150 lb ANSI pressure class. The threaded connection eliminates the need for welding at the pipe end, making it practical for installations where welding is restricted or impractical. A qualified pipefitter or plumbing contractor handles installation in accordance with applicable codes.
Designed as an ANSI B16.5 standard 150 lb class raised face flange for use with 12-inch nominal threaded pipe ends. Compatible with any standard 150 lb class companion flange, valve flange, or equipment nozzle conforming to ANSI B16.5 dimensional requirements at 12-inch nominal size.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or mechanical contractor in compliance with applicable piping codes such as ASME B31.1 or B31.3. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before installing or removing any flange. Ensure the threaded pipe end is clean, properly tapered, and treated with an approved thread sealant before makeup. Torque all flange bolts in a cross-pattern sequence to achieve uniform gasket compression.
