The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 10294UL is a forged brass 90-degree male elbow fitting designed for use in hydraulic and fluid system plumbing. It transitions between a 3/8-inch SAE 45-degree male flared connection and a 1/4-inch male NPTF threaded connection, allowing a direction change in a single compact fitting. Rated to 1000 psi and suitable for temperatures ranging from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this elbow is built for demanding service environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system installers use this fitting where a right-angle change of direction is required in copper, brass, aluminum, or steel tubing lines.
This fitting is appropriate for residential and light commercial hydraulic tubing assemblies where a 90-degree change in line direction is needed. It connects SAE 45-degree flared tubing on one end to a standard NPTF port on the other, making it a common choice for fuel, refrigeration-adjacent, and hydraulic fluid lines that use compatible metal tubing. The compact dimensions allow installation in tight equipment enclosures or panel spaces where straight fittings cannot make the required transition.
Designed for use with copper, brass, aluminum, and steel hydraulic tubing in SAE 45-degree flare systems. Suitable for hydraulic, fuel, and fluid-transfer lines that require a 90-degree male elbow transition from a flared tube connection to an NPTF port.
This fitting should be installed by a licensed plumber or qualified hydraulic system technician familiar with SAE flare and NPTF thread standards. De-pressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any fittings. Do not overtighten; NPTF threads are self-sealing by thread interference and do not require tape or sealant on the NPTF side in most applications, though job-site codes should always be consulted. Inspect the flared tubing seat and the NPTF port for damage before assembly.
