The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 10286B is a 90-degree barstock male elbow fitting machined from brass, designed to connect 1/4-inch SAE 45-degree male flared tubing to a 1/8-inch male NPTF threaded port. The fitting carries a 7/16-20 thread on the flare end and a 1/8-27 thread on the NPTF end. It is rated for pressures up to 1400 psi and a temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees F. With a body size of 0.47 inches and a center-to-end dimension of 0.81 by 0.78 inches, this compact elbow is well suited for tight routing situations in hydraulic and fluid-transfer assemblies. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians are the typical installers.
This elbow is intended for use with copper, brass, aluminum, and steel hydraulic tubing in residential and light commercial hydraulic, refrigeration-adjacent, and fluid-line applications. The 90-degree angle allows direction changes within confined equipment spaces where straight fittings cannot route properly. The SAE 45-degree flare connection on the first end pairs with standard flare tubing, while the NPTF thread on the second end creates a dry-seal connection to ported components such as valves, manifolds, or instrument ports. Minimum order quantity is one piece.
Compatible with copper, brass, aluminum, and steel hydraulic tubing using SAE 45-degree flare connections. Designed to mate with 1/8-inch NPTF-ported components including valves, manifolds, and instrument ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with hydraulic or fluid-system plumbing. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Use a backup wrench on the mating component to avoid torquing downstream connections. Verify that tubing is properly flared to SAE 45-degree spec before assembly to ensure a leak-free seal on the flare end.
