The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 07069-0404P is a 90-degree single mini barb elbow fitting manufactured from brass. It connects a 3/8-inch mini barb on one end to a 1/4-inch male NPTF thread on the other, allowing a direction change in low-pressure fluid or gas lines. Rated to 150 psi and suitable for temperatures from -65 degrees F to 90 degrees F, this fitting is designed for use with 1/4-inch inside diameter polyethylene tubing. The 1/4-18 NPTF thread provides a dry-seal connection that resists leakage without requiring additional sealant tape on the threaded end. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general trade mechanics install this type of fitting in small-bore tubing assemblies.
This elbow is well suited for residential and light commercial applications where a 90-degree directional change is needed in a small-bore polyethylene tubing run. Typical install scenarios include condensate drain lines, irrigation supply lines, pneumatic control tubing, and similar low-pressure fluid-handling systems. The compact profile allows installation in tight spaces where standard barb fittings may not fit. The mini barb geometry is specifically matched to thin-wall poly tubing with 1/4-inch ID, so verify tubing inside diameter before installation.
Designed for use with 1/4-inch inside diameter polyethylene tubing in low-pressure fluid or gas service up to 150 psi. Connection 1 is a 3/8-inch mini barb; Connection 2 is a 1/4-18 male NPTF thread.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the line fully before disassembling existing fittings or inserting the barb end into tubing. The NPTF dry-seal thread is designed to seal on the thread form itself; however, applying thread sealant consistent with the fluid service is common practice. Secure the tubing firmly over the barb and verify no kinking at the elbow before restoring pressure.
