The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 00975-040202U is a forged brass compression tee fitting designed for joining copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing in fluid or gas distribution lines. The three-port configuration offers a 1/4-inch compression inlet and two 1/8-inch NPTF ports - one female, one male - allowing branch connections in tight plumbing, HVAC, or instrumentation assemblies. Rated to 300 psi and suitable for service temperatures from -65 to 250 degrees F, this fitting handles a wide range of operating conditions. Note: this is the body only - no compression nut is included.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a tubing run must branch off into a threaded port connection. Typical uses include refrigeration service lines, pneumatic controls, fuel systems, and instrumentation tubing assemblies. The 7/16-24 x 1/8-27 thread specification applies to the compression and NPTF ports respectively. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors working with compression-style tubing systems will find this fitting appropriate for branching low-pressure lines where space is limited.
Designed for use with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing in compression-style plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems requiring a mixed compression-to-NPTF branch connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician following applicable IPC and IFGC guidelines. Shut off system pressure and relieve line pressure completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the body and then snug with a wrench - do not overtighten, as this can deform the ferrule and cause leaks. Because the compression nut is not included with this body, ensure the correct nut and ferrule are sourced for the tubing material and outside diameter in use.
