The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 00088-0404 is a drilled-through tank adapter designed to create a sealed, pass-through connection at a tank wall or bulkhead. Constructed from brass, the fitting connects 1/4-inch compression tubing on one side to a 1/4-inch male NPTF thread on the other. The drilled-through design - also known as a no-stop configuration - allows tubing to pass fully through the fitting body, which is essential for certain tank penetration applications. It is rated to 300 psi and handles temperatures from -65 to 250 degrees F. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system installers use this fitting wherever a reliable, pressure-rated bulkhead connection is required.
This adapter is suited for use with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic applications. The 7/16-24 by 1/4-18 thread specification and 0.56-inch hex allow installation with standard open-end or combination wrenches. With a center-to-end dimension of 0.99 inches, it fits in tight spaces while maintaining a full-flow, pass-through pathway. Typical installations include tank fittings on water treatment equipment, pressure vessels, and small-diameter fluid systems.
Designed for use with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing in 1/4-inch compression applications. Suitable as a bulkhead or tank-wall fitting wherever a 1/4-inch male NPTF port and compression through-connection are required.
This fitting is typically installed by licensed plumbers or qualified technicians working on pressurized fluid or pneumatic systems. Depressurize and drain the system fully before installation or removal. Apply thread sealant to the NPTF male threads in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench on the hex flat - avoid over-torquing, which can crack the compression nut or distort the brass body.
