The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 00069-0502 is a 90-degree brass compression elbow fitting designed to connect copper, aluminum, or thermoplastic tubing to a male NPTF threaded port. The first connection accepts 5/16-inch compression tubing; the second connection is a 1/8-inch male NPTF thread with a 1/8-27 thread pitch. The fitting is rated for 300 psi and a temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for refrigeration lines, pneumatic circuits, fuel systems, and instrumentation plumbing. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this style of fitting in both residential and light commercial applications where a direction change is required in a small-diameter tubing run.
This elbow is appropriate for compression tubing runs that must change direction by 90 degrees before connecting to a threaded port on a valve, manifold, or instrument body. Compatible with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing in systems requiring a reliable low-pressure or moderate-pressure seal without soldering or flaring. The compact body size of 0.47 inches makes it practical in tight equipment cabinets and panel-mount installations where space is limited.
Designed for use with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing in compression fitting systems. Threads conform to 1/2-24 x 1/8-27 specifications for compatibility with standard NPTF-ported components.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician following applicable local plumbing and mechanical codes. Shut off system pressure and bleed the line before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and is free of burrs before seating it in the compression ferrule. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as brass fittings can deform if excess torque is applied.
