The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 00069-0402UB is a 90-degree brass compression elbow fitting designed for use in fluid and gas line assemblies requiring a directional change. The fitting transitions from a 1/4-inch compression connection on one end to a 1/8-inch male NPTF thread on the other. It is rated for pressures up to 300 psi and performs across a temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees F. Constructed from brass, it offers reliable resistance to corrosion in plumbing and instrumentation applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting when routing tubing through tight spaces or making right-angle connections to threaded ports.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, instrumentation, and fluid control systems where a compact 90-degree directional change is required. The compression end accepts aluminum, copper, or thermoplastic tubing, making it versatile across a range of system types. The male NPTF thread end connects to standard tapered female ports on valves, manifolds, gauges, and similar components. The 7/16-24 and 5/16-24 thread specifications allow for accurate identification during sourcing and installation.
Designed for use with aluminum, copper, and thermoplastic tubing in compression-style fitting systems with 1/8-inch female NPTF threaded ports.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians. Depressurize and isolate the line before disassembling any fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then secure with a wrench - do not overtighten, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal. NPTF threads are self-sealing by design, but always follow applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for the system type being serviced.
