The MIDEA dlfuaah60xak is a variable speed air handler designed for residential and light commercial HVAC applications. It features a factory-installed electronic expansion valve (EEV) and an electronically commutated motor (ECM) for efficient, modulating airflow and refrigerant metering. The unit ships factory-tested and certified to achieve a 2% or less leakage rate at 1.0 inch water column, confirming tight cabinet construction before it leaves the production line. A built-in dehumidification mode allows the system to actively manage indoor humidity levels without relying solely on the thermostat's cooling call. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit as part of a split or multi-split refrigerant system.
The dlfuaah60xak supports four installation orientations, making it suitable for upflow, downflow, and horizontal configurations in residential attics, closets, basements, and utility rooms. It is compatible with 24-volt thermostats for conventional control wiring and also supports a communicating control option for systems that use a proprietary equipment bus. Field-installed electric heater packages ranging from 5 kW to 25 kW are available for supplemental or primary heat, expanding the unit's use across a range of climate zones and application types where gas heat is not available or practical.

Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the system before servicing or wiring the unit. Confirm cabinet orientation and duct connections match the selected airflow direction before securing the unit in place. When adding a field-installed heater package, verify that the electrical supply circuit is sized appropriately for the selected kW rating per NEC requirements.
