The MIDEA dlfuaah30xak is a multi-position variable speed air handler designed for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems. It ships with a factory-installed electronic expansion valve (EEV) and an electronically commutated motor (ECM) for variable speed operation. The unit is factory tested and certified to achieve a leakage rate of 2 percent or less at 1.0 inch water column, meeting tight-construction standards that matter on system commissioning. A built-in dehumidification mode gives installers an additional comfort control tool without added hardware. Licensed HVAC technicians are the primary installers for this equipment.
The dlfuaah30xak is suited for residential new construction and replacement installs where multi-position flexibility is required. Its four-way mounting orientation supports upflow, downflow, and horizontal configurations, reducing the need to stock multiple handler models for different job sites. The unit is compatible with 24-volt thermostats and also supports communicating control configurations, giving contractors flexibility when pairing with communicating or conventional outdoor equipment. Field-installed electric heater packages ranging from 5 kW to 25 kW are available, making the handler adaptable to all-electric or heat pump hybrid system designs.
Designed as an OEM-style variable speed air handler compatible with 24-volt thermostats and communicating control systems in residential and light commercial forced-air applications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and manufacturer instructions. Disconnect and lock out all power to the system before beginning any wiring or refrigerant connections. Verify airflow orientation and duct connections match the selected mounting position before securing the unit. When integrating a field-installed heater package, confirm that the electrical service and breaker sizing comply with NEC requirements for the selected kW rating.
