The MICRO 100 T-108 is a parallel-style cutoff blade machined from brazed solid carbide for use in grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. With a blade width of 0.125 inches and a height of 0.75 inches, it delivers consistent dimensional accuracy in tight-tolerance cutoff work. The 5-inch overall length gives machinists adequate reach for standard-depth cutoff applications. The uncoated carbide construction resists wear and maintains a sharp cutting edge across a range of workpiece materials. This blade is installed and serviced by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
The T-108 is suited for light to medium cutoff and grooving operations in production and job-shop environments. Its parallel blade geometry makes it a practical choice for straight parting cuts where consistent width throughout the cut depth is required. Typical applications include turning steel, aluminum, brass, and similar machinable materials on both manual and CNC lathes. The uncoated finish allows the blade to be used as-ground without additional surface treatment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutoff blade for lathe toolholders that accept parallel-style carbide blades with a 0.125-inch width and 0.75-inch height profile.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the blade firmly in the toolholder to the holder manufacturer's clamping specifications before use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the blade. Do not exceed the depth-of-cut or feed-rate parameters specified for the toolholder and workpiece material combination.
