The MICRO 100 QDC-2X is a combined drill and countersink tool machined from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN finish for extended tool life in demanding cutting applications. Trade Size 2 with a 3/16 inch body diameter, it produces a 60-degree included angle countersink in a single operation, eliminating the need for separate drilling and chamfering steps. The 5/64 inch drill point diameter and 118-degree drill point angle make it well suited for center drilling and countersinking in ferrous metals, stainless steel, and other hard materials. Right-hand cut geometry. Overall length is 2 inches.
This tool is designed for use in CNC machining centers, manual lathes, and drill presses where center holes and countersink profiles must be cut in a single pass. It is a standard choice for machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators working with metal workpieces that require accurately placed center holes or chamfered bolt clearance openings. The AlTiN coating resists heat buildup, making it appropriate for dry or minimum-quantity lubrication cutting environments.
Designed as a standard Trade Size 2 combined drill and countersink compatible with any machine spindle or chuck that accepts a 3/16 inch shank tool.
Installation and use of this tool is performed by machinists and toolroom professionals. Secure the tool firmly in the machine spindle or drill chuck before operation and verify runout before cutting. Power down and de-energize the machine completely before changing or inspecting tooling. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds when working with carbide tooling.
