The MICRO 100 QBB-200500-000X is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal diameter machining on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. It features a 0.2000-inch minimum bore diameter and a maximum bore depth of 0.5000 inches, making it well suited for tight-tolerance small-bore applications. The 1/4-inch shank diameter provides secure tool holding in standard boring bar holders. Solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed to maintain dimensional accuracy across production runs. Right-hand cutting geometry means the tool advances left along the workpiece in conventional lathe orientation. Machinists and toolroom operators working in precision manufacturing, job shops, and production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This boring bar is intended for small-diameter internal turning and finishing operations where close tolerances are required. It is suited for use on ferrous and non-ferrous materials in applications where a 0.2000-inch entry diameter and up to 0.5000 inches of bore depth are within the required range. The 2.0000-inch overall length keeps the tool compact for use on small workpieces and short-reach setups. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard forward-feed lathe operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC lathes and manual turning centers equipped with boring bar holders accepting a 1/4-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the lathe spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the boring bar holder to the appropriate clamping torque as specified by the holder manufacturer. Confirm cutting direction and tool orientation match the intended operation before engaging the workpiece.
