The MICRO 100 GEM-125-4X is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built with four flutes and a 30-degree right-hand helix, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a smooth cutting action on a wide range of materials. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life during high-speed and dry cutting operations. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and 1/2 inch length of cut, this end mill is sized for precision work in tight geometries. It is a single-end, centercutting tool capable of plunge cuts as well as standard peripheral milling. Machinists and CNC operators working in tool-and-die, aerospace, and precision parts applications will find this tool well-suited to their requirements.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders designed for that bore size. The 1-1/2 inch overall length provides adequate reach for most shallow-pocket and slot milling operations without excessive tool deflection. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into workpiece material, adding versatility to the tool's application range.
Designed for use in standard collets and tool holders with a 1/8 inch bore, compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills configured for small-diameter solid carbide end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet and torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excessive runout will reduce tool life and surface finish quality on small-diameter carbide end mills.
