The MICRO 100 ER11S-1 is a 7-piece ER11 collet set machined from steel and designed for precision workholding in CNC machining and toolholding applications. The set covers a clamping range from 0.0430 inches to 0.2500 inches, making it suitable for a wide variety of small-diameter tooling. With a Total Indicator Runout (TIR) of 0.0004 inches, this set delivers the concentricity required for tight-tolerance work. It is intended for use by machinists and tool room technicians running ER11-compatible collet chucks on CNC lathes, mills, and high-speed spindles.
This collet set is suited for light machining, engraving, drilling, and precision milling operations where ER11 toolholding is specified. The 7-piece configuration provides incremental size coverage across the full ER11 capacity range, reducing the need for individual collet sourcing. Applications include production machining shops, tool rooms, and precision manufacturing environments where small-diameter end mills, drills, and reamers are in regular use.
Designed for use with ER11-compatible collet chucks and spindle systems accepting the ER11 collet standard.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with ER11 collet systems. Before changing collets, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or placed in an e-stop state. Use the appropriate ER11 collet nut and spanner wrench for proper seating and clamping - do not over-tighten the collet nut by hand or with improvised tools. Inspect collet bore and taper surfaces for contamination or wear before each use to maintain TIR performance.
