The MICRO 100 CS-250-090X is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for deburring, chamfering, and edge-breaking operations on machined parts. This double-end tool features a 0.25-inch cutter head diameter, six flutes, and a 90-degree included angle, delivering clean, consistent chamfers in a single pass. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a 0.25-inch shank diameter, it seats securely in standard collet chucks and end mill holders. Right-hand cutting direction suits conventional CNC and manual milling setups. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision machine shops are the primary users of this tool.
The CS-250-090X is suited for chamfering operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including steel, aluminum, and hardened alloys where AlTiN coatings perform well under elevated cutting temperatures. The double-end configuration allows the operator to index to a fresh cutting end when one side shows wear, effectively doubling tool life per unit. A length of cut of 0.1 inch makes this tool appropriate for standard chamfer depths on thread lead-ins, countersink prep, and cosmetic edge breaks on finished components.
Designed for use in standard 0.25-inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for solid carbide tooling.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the machine control in a safe, locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and tighten to the holder manufacturer's specification using appropriate tooling. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; carbide tools are brittle and should not be dropped or struck against hard surfaces. Speeds and feeds should be determined based on workpiece material and machine capability before engaging the cut.
