The MICRO 100 BB-3601500 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for internal diameter machining in metal cutting applications. It features a 0.36-inch minimum bore diameter and a maximum bore depth of 1.5 inches, making it suited for tight-tolerance finish boring in small-diameter bores. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length provide rigid tool holding in standard boring bar holders. A 0.006-inch corner radius supports clean, consistent surface finishes. This tool is installed and used by machinists and tool room technicians on CNC and manual lathes.
This boring bar is intended for right-hand cutting direction and is well suited for internal bore finishing and light stock removal in small-diameter holes. The uncoated solid carbide construction performs across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Typical applications include precision bore sizing in production machining, toolroom work, and repair machining where close tolerances are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fit boring bar for tool holders accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter in CNC and manual lathe boring bar applications.
Installation is performed by machinists using a standard boring bar holder or tool block rated for 3/8-inch shank tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or adjusting the tool. Set tool overhang to the minimum length required to reach bore depth to maximize rigidity and reduce chatter. Verify shank clamping torque per the tool holder manufacturer specification before cutting.
