The MICRO 100 BB-1601000S is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on a lathe or machining center. It features a right-hand cutting direction, a minimum bore diameter of 0.16 inches, and a maximum bore depth of 1 inch. The shank diameter measures 3/16 inches with an overall length of 2 inches. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers rigidity and wear resistance in tight-tolerance bore finishing and semi-finishing applications. Machinists and toolroom operators working with small-diameter bores will find this bar suited to close-tolerance work where tool deflection must be minimized.
This boring bar is intended for small-bore internal turning applications in production and job-shop environments. It is well suited to ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a right-hand, single-point boring tool is required. The compact geometry with a 0.0663-inch offset makes it appropriate for fine bore work in components such as bushings, sleeves, and hydraulic bodies. It installs in standard boring bar holders that accept a 3/16-inch shank.
Designed for use in standard 3/16-inch boring bar holders on lathes and machining centers requiring a right-hand solid carbide boring bar.
This tool is installed by a machinist in a compatible boring bar holder or toolpost. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Set the bar at or slightly below centerline to maintain proper cutting geometry. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth of 1 inch to avoid tool deflection or breakage.
