The MICRO 100 20-0823 is a right-hand indexable boring bar designed for internal boring and facing operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built to the A05H-SCLCR 2 toolholder style, it accepts 50-1100 series inserts and delivers a minimum bore diameter of 0.38 inches. The 5/16-inch shank keeps the bar rigid in tight bore entries, while the integrated coolant-through design channels cutting fluid directly to the insert tip to control heat and clear chips. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this bar for precision ID work where insert indexability reduces downtime and keeps cycle times consistent.
This boring bar is suited for small-bore internal turning and facing applications on steel, stainless, cast iron, and non-ferrous workpieces. The 90-degree lead angle geometry supports both longitudinal boring and face grooving in a single setup. With a 3.9-inch overall length, it fits standard lathe turrets and boring bar holders sized for 5/16-inch shank tooling. It is appropriate for job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments where compact, interchangeable-insert boring tools are standard practice.
Compatible with 50-1100 series indexable inserts. Fits toolholders and turret stations sized for a 5/16-inch shank boring bar.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool-setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or seating the boring bar. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the manufacturer-recommended minimum clamp length to prevent deflection and chatter. Verify insert seating and screw torque before returning the machine to operation.
