The METRIC BLUE UST176327 is a fully threaded socket cap screw engineered for high-strength fastening applications in metal fabrication, machinery assembly, and industrial maintenance. It features an M24x3 thread size and an 80 mm length under head, with a hex socket drive that accepts a standard hex key or Allen wrench. Manufactured from alloy steel to a 12.9 material grade, it delivers exceptionally high tensile and proof-load strength. The Metric Blue finish provides a coating that identifies the grade at a glance. This screw is installed by millwrights, machinists, and maintenance technicians who require reliable clamping force in demanding environments.
This socket cap screw is suited for heavy-duty bolted connections in industrial equipment, press frames, jigs, fixtures, and structural assemblies where high clamping load and a low-profile head are required. The M24x3 coarse thread pitch makes it compatible with standard metric tapped holes and nuts of the same specification. The fully threaded configuration allows maximum thread engagement across the full grip length, making it well suited for shorter stack-ups and applications requiring thread engagement close to the head.
Designed as a standard metric replacement or OEM-style socket cap screw for any M24x3 tapped hole or threaded insert conforming to DIN 912 and ISO 4762 specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists, millwrights, or maintenance technicians using a calibrated torque wrench with the appropriate hex key bit. Always verify thread engagement depth and ensure the tapped hole or nut meets the same M24x3 specification before installation. Fasteners at 12.9 grade are susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement if improperly handled after plating; do not re-use fasteners that have been overtorqued or visibly deformed. Follow equipment manufacturer torque specifications and applicable industrial fastener standards when determining final installation torque.
