Installation Notes

Socket weld fittings are installed by licensed pipefitters or plumbers in accordance with ASME B31.1 or B31.3 process piping codes, as applicable. Before installation, depressurize and isolate the line and verify the pipe end is clean and properly deburred. The pipe should be inserted fully into the socket and then pulled back slightly before welding, per standard socket weld procedure. Full-penetration fillet welds are required to achieve the rated pressure capacity.
