The MERIT ABRASIVES 66623340025 is a quick-change abrasive disc designed for use with Power-Lock Type 1 attachment systems on die grinders, inline grinders, straight grinders, and handheld disc sanders. The disc measures 1.5 inches in diameter and is constructed with aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a flexible polyester and nylon web backing. Rated to a maximum of 30,000 RPM, it is built for coarse-grade material removal. Clean Bond resin technology helps prevent smearing and loading during use. High-loft nylon fiber construction extends disc life compared to standard bonded abrasives. This disc is sold individually and suited for use by fabricators, welders, and metalworking tradespeople.
This disc is intended for moderate material removal and surface conditioning on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as composite materials. Compatible material applications include 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, tool steels, super alloys, titanium, and fiberglass and composites. The non-woven construction is well suited for blending, deburring, and light surface prep work in tight or hard-to-reach areas where a smaller disc footprint is required.
Compatible with die grinders, inline grinders, straight grinders, and handheld disc sanders equipped with a Power-Lock Type 1 quick-change system. Suitable for use on 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, super alloys, titanium, and fiberglass and composites.
Installation is performed by metalworking tradespeople and fabricators using a compatible Power-Lock Type 1 mandrel. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 30,000 RPM disc rating before mounting. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace immediately if cracking, tearing, or delamination is observed. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating rotary abrasive tools.
