It uses a Power-Lock Type 3 (TR/Type III) attachment system and is rated to 20,000 RPM, making it compatible with standard die grinders and inline grinders used in fabrication and maintenance shops. The medium-grade aluminum oxide grain delivers a controlled cut rate suitable for blending, deburring, and light stock removal without loading or smearing the workpiece surface. A high-loft polyester backing provides flexibility across contoured surfaces.
This disc is suited for use on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, titanium, super alloys, and fiberglass or composite panels. Typical install scenarios include weld seam blending, pre-inspection surface prep, and final finishing passes on fabricated components. It mounts to die grinders, handheld disc sanders, inline grinders, and straight grinders equipped with a Type R or TR quick-change arbor. The flexible backing conforms to irregular surfaces, reducing the risk of uneven material removal on curved workpieces.
