The MEAD MF1-50 is a threaded air flow control valve designed for compressed air and pneumatic systems. It features NPTF threaded connections on both male and female ports, allowing it to meter or regulate airflow within a pneumatic circuit. The body is constructed from aluminum, keeping weight low while providing adequate durability for typical shop and industrial pneumatic applications. Rated for a minimum working temperature of -40 degrees F, the MF1-50 suits environments with significant temperature variation. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial mechanics working with pneumatic control lines are the typical installers.
The MF1-50 is suited for residential and light commercial pneumatic control applications where airflow regulation is required inline with compressed air supply or actuator circuits. The 1/2-inch male and 1/2-inch female NPTF threaded ports allow direct inline installation into standard compressed air piping. Its compact aluminum construction makes it a practical choice for tight cabinet installations or equipment panels where weight and space are considerations.
Designed as an OEM-style inline air flow control valve for standard 1/2-inch NPTF compressed air and pneumatic piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or technician familiar with pneumatic system service. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply completely before removing or installing any inline valve. Apply thread sealant rated for compressed air service to NPTF threads per the fitting manufacturer guidelines. Verify that the installed flow direction matches the system design before restoring air pressure.
