The MCR SAFETY MU3213DPL is a leather utility driver glove built for electrical utility and heavy trade work. The palm side features top grain brown cowhide for dexterity and abrasion resistance, backed by a second layer of premium gray cowhide across the palm and knuckles for double palm protection. All stitch lines are sewn with Kevlar thread to prevent seam blowout and extend wear life. The glove carries an ARC rating of 52.7 cal/cm2 (HRC4 / CAT4) and a Heat Attenuation Factor (HAF) of 94.5 percent, making it appropriate for arc flash exposure environments. Licensed electricians, lineworkers, and utility technicians are the primary installers and users of this glove.
The MU3213DPL is sized Large and sold as a pair. It is designed for utility industry applications where both cut and arc flash hazards are present, such as overhead line work, substation maintenance, transformer work, and general electrical construction. The wing style thumb and shirred elastic wrist provide a secure fit during high-dexterity tasks. The combination of top grain and split leather construction supports extended use in demanding field conditions without sacrificing the tactile feedback needed for precision work.
Designed as an OEM-style driver and utility glove for trade professionals requiring NFPA 70E CAT4 arc flash hand protection in electrical utility and construction environments.
These gloves are worn PPE, not installed components. Inspect each glove before use for cuts, tears, or compromised stitching that could reduce protection. Follow NFPA 70E and applicable site safety programs when selecting gloves for arc flash hazard categories. Replace immediately if the leather is cracked, the double palm layer is separated, or any seam failure is detected.
