The MCR Safety 96871S is a full-fingered, cut-resistant work glove constructed from 10-gauge DuPont Kevlar throughout the shell, back, lining, and cuff. The palm and fingers are coated with a blue crinkle latex finish that delivers reliable grip across wet and dry surfaces. Rated to ANSI/ISEA 105:2020 at Cut Level A4, Abrasion Level 4, and Puncture Level 5, this glove is built for tasks where sharp edges, puncture hazards, and surface wear are daily concerns. It is sold as a pair and sized for a men's small (size 7) hand. Licensed tradespeople and general industrial workers in light manufacturing, fabrication, and field-service environments rely on this glove for all-day hand protection.
The 96871S is suited for residential and commercial trade applications where hand protection from cuts, punctures, and abrasion is required. Typical install and service scenarios include handling sheet metal ductwork, conduit runs, copper pipe, and similar sharp-edged materials. The knit cuff style provides a snug fit at the wrist to reduce debris intrusion during overhead or confined-space work. This glove is not rated as a blood-borne pathogen barrier and does not carry FDA approval, so it is not intended for medical or food-handling use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard stocking glove for trade professionals requiring ANSI Cut Level A4 hand protection in light industrial, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service applications.
These gloves are installed by hand without tools — inspect for wear or coating damage before each use and replace when the Kevlar shell shows fraying or the latex coat is cracked. Always power down or de-energize equipment and shut off fluid supply lines before beginning service work where these gloves will be used. Refer to applicable OSHA PPE requirements (29 CFR 1910.138) and job-site safety plans for glove selection and replacement intervals. Do not use these gloves as a substitute for arc-flash or chemical-resistant PPE where those specific hazards are present.
