The MCR SAFETY 9318K7T is a Kevlar protective sleeve designed to guard the forearm and wrist against cuts, abrasion, and heat exposure in industrial and trade environments. Measuring 18.0 inches in overall length, it fits universally and features elastic openings at both ends for a secure, comfortable fit during continuous use. The sleeve carries an ANSI/ISEA Abrasion Resistance Level 4 rating and is flame resistant, making it appropriate for welding, grinding, pipe fitting, and general fabrication work. Safety managers, supervisors, and individual tradespeople specify this sleeve when task hazards require dedicated arm protection beyond standard gloves.
This sleeve is suited for residential and commercial job sites where forearm exposure to sharp edges, slag, sparks, or rough surfaces is a recognized hazard. Typical applications include HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing rough-in where copper or steel edges are present, electrical conduit installation, and light fabrication or welding tasks. The thumb hole keeps the sleeve indexed and prevents ride-up during active hand movement, maintaining coverage throughout the task.
Designed as a universal-fit protective sleeve for trade and industrial use where ANSI/ISEA cut and abrasion protection standards are required.
Slip the sleeve over the hand and forearm with the thumb hole engaged before beginning work. Inspect the sleeve for cuts, fraying, or burn-through before each use and replace if compromised. Flame-resistant PPE should be selected in accordance with applicable job-site safety plans and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138 personal protective equipment requirements. Do not launder with bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade Kevlar fiber performance.
