The MCR SAFETY 4890M is a medium-size leather drivers-style welding glove designed for professional use in welding, fabrication, and heavy-duty material handling. The palm and forefinger are constructed from premium top-grain goatskin, which retains natural lanolin for a supple feel and delivers strong tensile strength with reliable tactile sensitivity. The back is covered with split leather, and all seams are sewn with DuPont Kevlar thread for added durability under heat and abrasion. A padded palm and top-grain drag patch reinforce the highest-wear zones. Total glove length is 11 inches, including a 2.5-inch brown split cowhide leather cuff.
These gloves are suited for residential and light industrial welding environments where dexterity and hand protection must both be maintained. The combination of goatskin flexibility and Kevlar-stitched construction makes them a practical choice for MIG welding, light TIG work, grinding, and general fabrication tasks. They are sold as a pair and are sized for medium hands. The white and brown coloring is standard for this model line.
Designed as a medium-size OEM-style drivers welding glove suitable for standard welding and fabrication applications requiring leather hand protection.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, burns, or seam separation that could compromise protection. Do not use damaged gloves near open flame, arc, or high-heat equipment. Allow gloves to dry naturally after exposure to moisture -- do not use direct heat sources to dry. These gloves should be fitted and worn per the employer safety program and applicable OSHA or ANSI hand-protection standards.
