The MCR Safety 4850LH is a large left-hand MIG/TIG welding glove constructed from premium top-grain goatskin leather. Goatskin is valued in welding applications for its natural lanolin content, which produces a notably soft hand feel while maintaining strong tensile strength and excellent tactile sensitivity. The glove is sewn with DuPont Kevlar thread for added seam durability under heat and abrasion. A 4.5-inch blue split cow leather cuff provides wrist and forearm protection during welding operations. This glove is designed for welders and fabricators who need reliable hand protection without sacrificing dexterity at the weld point.
The 4850LH is suited for residential and commercial welding environments where MIG and TIG processes are performed. Its grain goatskin construction makes it appropriate for applications that require a close fit and good finger control, such as TIG welding on thinner materials or detailed fabrication work. This is the large left-hand glove; the matching large right-hand version is available separately as the 4850RH. Welding professionals and pipefitters who prioritize grip sensitivity alongside heat protection are the primary users of this glove.
Designed as a left-hand welding glove for large-hand users performing MIG and TIG welding. The matching right-hand glove is the MCR Safety 4850RH.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for cuts, burns, or seam failures that could compromise protection. Gloves with Kevlar-sewn seams should not be laundered with bleach or harsh solvents, as this degrades the thread. Always ensure the cuff fully covers the wrist before beginning any welding operation. Replacement should occur when leather shows cracking, thinning, or seam separation.
