The MCR Safety 1955M is a cold-weather work glove built around a premium split pigskin leather palm. Pigskin leather resists moisture better than most hides due to its larger, more open pore structure, which also improves breathability during active use. A full Thermosock lining adds insulation for cold environments without bulking up the fit. A 2.5-inch rubberized safety cuff seals the wrist area and helps keep debris and cold air out. This glove is sized Medium and comes in blue. It is sold by the pair and is typically purchased by tradespeople who work outdoors or in unheated spaces during cold-weather months.
The 1955M is designed for general trade and industrial use in cold or wet outdoor conditions. The split pigskin palm holds up to repetitive grip work on rough materials, and the Thermosock lining makes it suitable for HVAC service calls, plumbing work, electrical rough-in, and general construction tasks where hand protection and warmth are both required. The fabric back adds comfort and flexibility. This glove is appropriate for both light-commercial and residential jobsite use where a balance of dexterity and cold protection is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style cold-weather work glove suitable for general trade and industrial applications requiring insulated leather palm protection.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, worn leather, or lining deterioration that could reduce protection. When working near energized components, verify glove ratings meet applicable NFPA 70E or site-specific PPE requirements before use. Pigskin leather should be allowed to dry naturally after wet use and stored away from direct heat sources to preserve the hide and lining integrity.
