The MCR Safety 1712 is a double-palm leather work glove built for heavy-duty trade applications. Two layers of select side split cowhide leather are sewn into the palm using heat-resistant DuPont Kevlar thread, creating a reinforced wear surface designed to withstand the toughest job site conditions. An 8 oz. jersey lining on the palm adds absorption and comfort during extended wear. The 9 oz. cotton canvas back provides durability without sacrificing flexibility. A 4.5-inch rubberized safety cuff protects the wrist from debris and abrasion. This glove is sold by the pair and sized X-Large.
The 1712 is suited for construction, ironwork, rigging, material handling, and general industrial trades where abrasion resistance and grip durability are the primary requirements. The double-palm construction extends service life on jobs involving rough materials such as steel cable, pipe, lumber, and concrete forms. The rubberized gauntlet cuff makes it a practical choice in environments where wrist protection and secure glove retention matter, such as overhead work or foundry-adjacent tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock work glove for X-Large hand sizing in industrial, construction, and general trade applications.
No installation required. Inspect gloves before each use for seam separation, leather cracking, or cuff deterioration. Leather gloves are not rated for electrical arc flash protection and should not be substituted for voltage-rated PPE. Follow applicable OSHA PPE requirements and employer hand protection programs when selecting gloves for specific hazard exposures.
