The MCR SAFETY 1700M is a general purpose cowhide leather work glove designed for trade and industrial professionals who need reliable hand protection across a range of tasks. Built from heavy select chrome tanned side split cowhide leather, the 1700M features a full Gunn pattern construction and is sewn with DuPont Kevlar thread for superior seam strength and heat resistance. The rubberized safety cuff provides additional wrist protection. With an ANSI/ISEA Abrasion Resistance Level 4 rating, these gloves are suited for demanding work environments where cut, puncture, and heat hazards are present.
The 1700M is sized for medium hands in a unisex fit and is part of MCR Safety's 1700 series, formerly known as Memphis Glove. These gloves are appropriate for general purpose use across construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial maintenance applications. The jersey lining adds comfort during extended wear. The wing thumb design reduces hand fatigue and improves tool grip. All styles in the 1700 series are generously cut for ease of donning and doffing on the job.
Designed as a general purpose work glove suitable for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and light construction trades where leather hand protection is required.
Inspect gloves before each use for signs of wear, cuts, or compromised seaming. Replace immediately if the leather or thread shows significant degradation. When working near energized electrical components, confirm gloves meet applicable NFPA 70E or OSHA requirements for the task at hand, as these are general purpose leather gloves and are not rated as electrical insulating gloves.
