The MCR SAFETY 1700L is a general purpose cowhide leather glove designed for trades and industrial workers who need reliable hand protection against abrasion, cut, puncture, and moderate heat exposure. Built on a full Gunn pattern cut, the glove features heavy select chrome-tanned side split cowhide leather on both the palm and back, with a jersey lining for added comfort during extended wear. The rubberized safety cuff provides wrist support and helps keep debris out. Stitched with DuPont Kevlar thread for heat-resistant seam integrity, this glove is rated ANSI/ISEA Abrasion Resistance Level 4 and handles operating temperatures up to 284 degrees F.
The 1700L fits a men's large or women's medium hand and is sold as a paired set. It is suited for general construction, light fabrication, material handling, landscaping, and maintenance work where a durable leather glove is the standard choice. The wing thumb construction reduces hand fatigue and allows a natural grip posture across a wide range of hand tool and equipment tasks. These gloves are generously cut for ease of donning and removal, making them practical for frequent on-and-off use throughout a shift.
Designed as an OEM-style general purpose leather work glove for trade professionals requiring paired hand protection in construction, maintenance, and industrial service applications.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, worn seams, or leather degradation that could compromise protection. Do not use these gloves for tasks requiring arc flash, chemical, or electrical insulation protection, as they are not rated for those hazards. Replace gloves when the leather or stitching shows visible wear through, cracking, or seam separation.
