The MAZE NAILS S257S050 is a hot dipped galvanized hardboard siding nail designed for secure, corrosion-resistant fastening in exterior siding applications. At 2.5 inches in length and 12 gauge in diameter, these spiral-shank nails are built from extra-stiff stock that allows them to be driven through two thicknesses of hardboard siding without bending or deflecting. The double-dip hot galvanizing process coats each nail in molten zinc twice, providing durable rust resistance suited to exterior exposure. The spiral shank design increases holding power compared to smooth-shank alternatives, and the head drives flush for a clean finished surface. Each case contains 7,300 nails at 50 pounds.
These nails are intended for installation of hardboard siding on residential and light commercial construction projects. They are recommended by hardboard siding producers for use in standard siding applications where corrosion resistance and holding strength are required. Typical installations involve pneumatic or hand-nailing into wood-framed wall assemblies. The flush-drive head keeps the nail face below or even with the siding surface, reducing the risk of surface splitting or raised fastener heads over time.
Designed for use with hardboard siding products in standard residential and light commercial wood-framed construction applications where hot dipped galvanized fasteners are specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified carpenter or siding contractor following the siding manufacturer's fastening schedule and local building code requirements. Nails may be driven by hand hammer or pneumatic coil nailer capable of accepting loose bulk nails. Always follow fastener spacing requirements specified by the siding manufacturer and applicable building codes. Do not install siding nails into substrates that do not provide adequate structural nailing surface.
