The MAZE NAILS H52S112 is a hardened steel fluted masonry nail designed for fastening furring strips, floor plates, and partition walls to concrete, block, and masonry substrates. At 3/4 inch in length and 9 gauge in diameter, these nails feature a fluted shank that bites into masonry material and resists pullout under load. The 5/16-inch head provides solid bearing surface for the material being secured. These nails are installed by qualified tradespeople using a hand sledge or masonry hammer and are commonly specified in framing and finish carpentry applications where mechanical fastening to masonry is required.
The H52S112 is suited for residential and light commercial framing tasks including the attachment of wood furring strips to concrete or block walls, floor plate installation over concrete slabs, and non-load-bearing partition wall anchoring. Each box contains approximately 230 nails and weighs 1 pound, making it a practical per-job or truck-stock quantity for framing and carpentry crews.
Designed as an OEM-style fastener for use in wood-to-masonry applications including furring strip installation, floor plate anchoring, and partition wall framing against concrete or concrete block walls.
Masonry nails should be driven by a qualified framing carpenter or mason using a hand sledge or masonry hammer rated for hardened fasteners. Always wear safety glasses when driving hardened steel nails, as spalling and nail fragmentation can occur on impact. Drive nails no closer than 3 inches from the edge of masonry or block to avoid cracking, and ensure a minimum of 3/4 inch penetration into the substrate for adequate holding strength. Power-actuated fastener tools may also be used where code and manufacturer guidelines permit.
