The MASTER LOCK CO 150D is a solid brass body padlock built for corrosion-resistant security in outdoor, marine, and high-moisture environments. The padlock features a 5 pin tumbler cylinder for reliable key control and pick resistance. The shackle measures 1 inch in height and 9/32 inches in diameter, providing a compact, tamper-resistant profile. At 1.8 pounds, it delivers a substantial, hardened feel suited to gate hasps, toolboxes, storage units, and utility enclosures. Licensed contractors, facilities maintenance technicians, and trade professionals install this lock where a non-ferrous, rust-free solution is required.
The 150D is well suited for residential and light commercial applications where exposure to moisture, salt air, or chemical fumes would corrode a standard steel-body padlock. Typical installations include pool equipment enclosures, outdoor electrical panels, marina storage, irrigation control boxes, and HVAC service compartments. The solid brass body resists oxidation without painting or coating, keeping the lock functional in demanding environments over long service cycles.
Keyed to accept Master Lock Key Blank K150BOX or Ilco Blank MIZ-1092D. TV rating 341-966. Designed as a direct-fit solid brass padlock for standard hasp and staple applications requiring a 9/32 inch shackle diameter.
Installation requires no special tools beyond confirming hasp slot clearance against the 9/32 inch shackle diameter before mounting. Verify the hasp and staple are securely fastened to a structural surface before applying the padlock. When used on electrical enclosures, follow NEC lockout-tagout requirements and confirm the enclosure is de-energized before servicing. Avoid over-forcing the shackle into corroded or undersized hasp slots, as this can damage the shackle tip or locking mechanism.
