The MASTER LOCK 975LH is a brass-body combination padlock built for demanding commercial and industrial environments. It features a 2-inch wide dial face, a 5/16-inch diameter steel shackle, and a set-your-own 4-digit combination that can be reset in the field without tools. The body stands 3 inches high and 2 inches wide, giving it a compact footprint for use on hasps, chains, and cable boxes. The weather-resistant construction makes it suitable for outdoor installations including utility meters, substations, and construction sites. Weighing 0.57 pounds, it is rugged enough for daily service access while remaining portable.
The 975LH is designed for use across a wide range of trade and industrial applications. Typical install scenarios include construction site equipment lockout, industrial and manufacturing environment access control, storefront and business gate security, substation and utility meter sealing, and cable box enclosure security. The resettable combination feature makes it practical for facilities that rotate access credentials without replacing hardware. It is appropriate for both light commercial and heavy industrial use wherever a weather-resistant, non-keyed padlock is required.
Designed for use with cable boxes, construction site equipment, industrial and storefront gates, manufacturing environments, substations, and utility meters as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation does not require a licensed trade but should follow site lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 when used in energy-control applications. Before installing or removing the lock on live utility or electrical enclosures, confirm the circuit or service is de-energized and follow applicable local safety codes. Set and verify the custom combination in a controlled environment before deploying to the field to avoid accidental lockout. Do not lubricate the dial mechanism with petroleum-based products, as this can degrade internal components over time.
