The MASTER LOCK 67D is a woven steel lockout cable designed for locking out large or bulky energy sources and equipment during maintenance and service procedures. The looped end design allows the cable to pass through or around oversized valves, switches, and machinery that standard lockout hasps cannot reach. Woven steel construction delivers both tensile strength and flexibility, letting the cable conform to irregular shapes without kinking. A protective vinyl coating wraps the full length to prevent scratching on sensitive equipment surfaces. Weighing 0.54 pounds, the 67D is a lightweight but durable addition to any lockout/tagout kit.
This lockout cable is suited for use in industrial, commercial, and institutional settings where OSHA lockout/tagout procedures require securing large or awkwardly shaped energy isolation points. Electricians, pipefitters, maintenance technicians, and safety personnel use this cable when standard lockout devices cannot physically fit the application. It is recommended for use with laminated locks, solid steel locks, and mini-U-locks, making it a versatile cable compatible with the most common lock body styles found on job sites.
Recommended for use with laminated locks, solid steel locks, and mini-U-locks. Suitable for lockout/tagout applications involving large valves, switches, circuit breakers, and other oversized energy isolation points.
Installation and application of lockout/tagout devices must be performed by authorized and trained personnel in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 energy control procedures. De-energize all equipment and verify zero energy state before applying the cable. Thread the cable loop around the energy isolation point, then secure with the appropriate lock body. Inspect the cable for fraying, kinking, or coating damage before each use and remove from service if any damage is found.
