The MASTER LOCK 5SSQLJHC is a laminated steel padlock designed for industrial, commercial, and trade applications where multiple locks must open with the same key. The body measures 2 inches wide and 4-3/8 inches high, constructed from laminated steel for layered impact and corrosion resistance. The shackle is stainless steel, 3/8 inches in diameter, with 2-1/2 inches of clearance height and 15/16 inches of internal width. A 4-pin cylinder provides solid key control. This padlock ships in a package quantity of four, making it practical for lockout/tagout programs, gate hardware, or any multi-point application requiring a matched key set.
The 5SSQLJHC is suited for contractors, facilities maintenance crews, and safety professionals who need consistent keying across multiple lock points. Typical applications include electrical lockout/tagout stations, storage unit hasps, gate chains, tool cribs, and equipment enclosures. The keyed-alike configuration means a single key operates every lock in the set, reducing key ring clutter on the job site. The stainless steel shackle handles moderate outdoor exposure and resists cutting better than standard steel shanks. This lock is appropriate for both indoor and outdoor installations in light-to-medium security environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fitment laminated padlock compatible with conventional hasps, chains, and lockout/tagout hardware accepting a 3/8-inch shackle diameter.
Install and service by qualified facilities, electrical, or safety personnel in compliance with applicable OSHA lockout/tagout regulations and site-specific energy control procedures. Before applying locks to any lockout/tagout point, verify the energy source is fully isolated and de-energized. Inspect the hasp or anchor point to confirm it accepts a 3/8-inch shackle before installation. Do not force the shackle into an undersized hasp, as this can damage the locking mechanism.
