The MASTER LOCK 410TEAL is a safety lockout padlock engineered for LOTO (lockout/tagout) programs in industrial and commercial facilities. The lock body is constructed from Xenoy, a glass-filled thermoplastic that is non-conductive and lightweight, making it well suited for electrical and mechanical energy isolation tasks. The high-security cylinder supports up to 100,000 key changes, allowing safety managers to assign unique keys across large crews. A key-retaining feature prevents the padlock from being left in the unlocked position. The teal color supports color-coded lockout programs used to differentiate trades, departments, or individuals on shared energy isolation points.
This padlock is intended for use in OSHA-compliant lockout/tagout procedures across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic energy control applications. It is appropriate for use in manufacturing plants, utilities, construction sites, and maintenance operations where individual worker protection during equipment service is required. The 1.5-inch lock body is sized for standard lockout hasps and lockout stations. Safety directors, industrial hygienists, and trade professionals including electricians, pipefitters, and millwrights commonly deploy this padlock as part of a facility-wide LOTO program.

This padlock is applied by qualified personnel as part of a written OSHA-compliant energy control procedure. Before attaching the padlock, all energy sources must be isolated and verified as de-energized per the facility lockout/tagout program. The padlock should be assigned to one individual worker and never shared during an active lockout. Applicable OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.147 governs the control of hazardous energy in general industry.
