The MASTER LOCK 176LH-P156 is a solid brass combination lock designed for securing tool boxes, gang boxes, job boxes, and similar trade-site storage enclosures. The lock body is constructed from solid brass and measures 2 inches wide, offering corrosion resistance in outdoor and job-site environments. A steel shackle with a 5/16-inch diameter and 1-inch width provides secure clamping across a wide range of hasp sizes. The dial combination mechanism is user-resettable, allowing crews to update the code without replacing the lock. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and general contractors commonly rely on this lock type to secure tool cribs, substations, and utility meter enclosures.
This lock is suited for both residential and commercial job sites where a durable, weather-resistant combination lock is required on storage and utility access points. Typical applications include cable boxes, gang boxes, job boxes, substations, tool boxes, tool cribs, tool trunks, and utility meters. The resettable dial makes it practical for multi-crew environments where access codes need to rotate periodically. Note that the control key is sold separately.
Designed for use with cable boxes, gang boxes, job boxes, substations, tool boxes, tool cribs, tool trunks, and utility meters where a standard hasp-mount combination lock is required.
Installation requires no special tools. Ensure the hasp or staple inner diameter is compatible with the 5/16-inch shackle before securing. For electrical enclosures and utility meter applications, follow applicable NEC and local utility guidelines regarding lock specifications before installing. Set or reset the combination according to the manufacturer-supplied instructions included with the lock.
