The MASTER LOCK 1174 is a steel-body combination lock designed for industrial, commercial, and utility applications where reliable, key-free security is required. The lock features a dial-style combination interface with a resettable combination, allowing the code to be changed in the field without special tools. The body is constructed of steel and measures 2 inches high by 2-1/4 inches wide. The shackle is stainless steel, measuring 5/16 inches in diameter with 1 inch of shackle width and 1-3/32 inches of shackle clearance. Installation and setup are handled by maintenance technicians, facilities personnel, and tradespeople across a range of industrial environments.
The MASTER LOCK 1174 is suited for use on cable boxes, construction sites, equipment enclosures, industrial and storefront gates, manufacturing environments, substations, and utility meters. Its resettable dial combination makes it a practical choice for facilities that rotate personnel or require periodic access code changes without rekeying. The compact steel body holds up in outdoor and semi-exposed environments where corrosion resistance is a factor.
Designed for use with cable boxes, construction sites and equipment, industrial and storefront and business gates, manufacturing environments, substations, and utility meters. Fits standard hasp and locking bar configurations typical of these applications.
No special tools are required to mount or set this combination lock. Before installing on energized electrical enclosures or utility meters, coordinate with the appropriate authority having jurisdiction and follow applicable lockout/tagout procedures. To reset the combination, follow the manufacturer's reset procedure — do not force the dial or shackle during the reset sequence. Licensed electricians, maintenance technicians, or utility personnel should perform installation on regulated infrastructure such as substations and utility meters.
